(HAWKESBURY, ON) One person has been charged with attempted murder after a serious assault in Hawkesbury.
On Saturday, October 25, 2025, shortly after 3:00 a.m., members of the Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a residence on Higginson Street.
A male had suffered a serious stab wound in an assault and was transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The culprit had fled the scene.
The investigation identified a suspect and officers located and arrested a male several hours later.
Jason MCGREGOR, age 41 of Hawkesbury, has been charged with one count of attempted murder.
This accused remains in custody, with a bail hearing scheduled to continue before the Ontario Court of Justice in LOrignal on Monday October 27, 2025.
