(ASHFIELD COLBORNE WAWANOSH TWP, ON) Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a car vs cyclist collision that occurred in ACW Twp on October 15th, 2025.
Just after 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, Huron County OPP officers responded to a report of a collision north of Goderich on Bluewater Highway, north of Airport Road. Police discovered that a 14-year-old cyclist had been hit by a vehicle that was travelling northbound on Bluewater Highway. The driver of this vehicle failed to remain at the scene and sped off at a high rate of speed northbound.
The cyclist was transported to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police located a passenger mirror from the suspect vehicle at the scene. The mirror is dark grey in colour and is believed to be from a 2011 or 2012 model year automobile.
