Fatal Collision

(BROCKTON, ON) On November 20, 2024, at approximately 8:47 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a motor vehicle collision on Bruce Road 20 at Concession 2, Municipality of Brockton.
Officers responded to the scene with Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to find two passenger vehicles involved in a collision.
Two patients were transported by EMS to a local hospital; a 76-year-old resident of Markdale was later pronounced deceased.
Road closures were placed at the scene for the protection of emergency responders. Bruce Road 20 between Highway 9 and Concession 4 was closed for the duration of the investigation but are now being reopened.
The South Bruce OPP is continuing to investigate the collision along with members of the OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team, and the Coroners office.
