Stolen Trailer Recovered Two Arrested

(HURON SHORES, ON) The East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested two people for having a stolen trailer on Highway 17.
On September 5, 2024, at approximately 6:30 p.m. the complainant reported following a white pickup truck towing trailer on Highway 17, Huron Shores. They were travelling eastbound, and the trailer was recognized by the complainant as it was stolen over a year ago from Sault Ste Marie.
Police conducted a traffic stop and it was in fact the complainants trailer. Both occupants of the pickup truck were subsequently arrested.
Thomas BOSTON, 62-years-old, of Sault Ste Marie, was charged with:
Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
Draw trailer, no permit
Draw trailer, no plate
Randy BENNETT, 67-years-old, of Sault Ste Marie, was charged with Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
Both accused persons are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on November 7, 2024.
